This summer was an incredibly busy and rewarding one for us, as we had the opportunity to spend time in Central Asia attending and organizing a range of important events.

Training in Almaty, Kazakhstan (15–16 July)
Within the framework of the CADAP 7 programme, we organized a training dedicated to the needs of women who use drugs. Together with 40 participants from government institutions, NGOs, and women with lived experience, we explored some of the most pressing issues: stigma (including stigma within the medical profession), mental health, reproductive health, body image, nutrition, and smoking.

The training was followed by a session for male professionals, focused on developing gender-sensitive practices. As part of this broader task, we have also just completed a report on the current situation of women who use drugs in Central Asia, which will be available online soon.

Youth Forum in Turkmenistan (9–10 September)
In Turkmenistan, we joined the Youth Forum, where we highlighted the current state of mental health among children and teenagers in Poland. We also facilitated a session showcasing good practices in improving youth mental health from around the world.
